Joe @joe_peterson_ of @bicoastalmgmt says;”I actually have a fun story for how I started modeling, but I’ll give the short version. I had moved to NYC a week ago, was sitting in Washington Sq. Park, and no joke a casting director just saw me & asked if I wanted to be in a commercial. From there it spiraled. It’s cliche, but I’d say the confidence is the best part of modeling. You can tell that in my early photos I was very nervous & uncomfortable, but I’m slowly but surely gaining confidence and, I hope, my newer work shows this. Nobody would guess that I have a degree in business management and actually use it! Both at a day job and to make decisions about my modeling career. The Kenneth Nicholson @kenneth.nicholson show was such a pivotal moment for me. My first runway - I had practiced my walk for hours - and I was sooo nervous. It was such a welcoming environment though and a good mix of seasoned models and first timers like me. Also, after the runway and once Vogue @voguemagazine tweeted my photo, it spread like rapid fire! All my friends were texting me & so proud. It’s the first time I felt like a legitimate model, not just someone who poses for photos.”
